With most people opting to go back hometown for 3 days to celebrate Independence Day,I prefer to stay at Kampar.Heck people always asked me,"You don't miss your family? Why I never see you went back to your hometown?".What I always answered was that I'm not homesick and I do miss my family but to spend 2-3 hours on the highway just to meet them is not worth at all.Better just stay at Kampar and enjoy lol.
So I had dinner with Angeline,Mabel and Tennee at Kim Keong.Ordered Black Pepper Chicken and the dish was quite ok.The chicken was grilled rather than been fried.I always prefer it grilled because if the chicken was to be fried and then topped with black pepper sauce, what is the difference with Chicken Chop?Of course the sauce is different but other than that?Still the same =)
Sorry if the picture is not nice lol.The environment is quite dark for my phone to take a decent pic.We also wanted to order the "Ikan bali+sotong" but then there is no stingray left.So we decided to cancel the order.
Chit chat for 1-2 hour then we went back home.At 12am,which is the Independence Day, we went out to the porch to play some firecrackers. It was some leftover during CNY. Our dog was scared with the song.WTF,people walk by he barks but this sound already scared him until he do not dare to look to the outside lol.We went to Westlake soon and was greeted by lots of Mat Rempit. There are quite a lot people there.A mixture of students, families and also the residents from Kampar.Well even foreigner is there!!Tennee asked me,"What they got to do with our country's Independence Day?" haha..
Then of course there is also some incident happened. One of the rider fell down from the bike and as typical Malaysians,a lot of people went over. Not to help the guy but to laugh at him.We tried to stay away from there as we scared something happen later.Who knows?Another fight perhaps?
Later,we go Ghanny to yum cha.Meet Alvin there and we talked about Uni stuffs.Reached home around 3am and sleep at 4 something.
Happy Independence Day,Malaysia.
And I always heard about politics or peoples talking about ethnic problem Malaysia is facing. If you and I would recall, did we actually became so racist when we were in secondary school? For me I would say no.I still remember the times we had birthday surprises together, playing football together, hanging out and do a lot of stuffs teenagers do.Did we actually mind about the color of each other skins?NO.
It's true that some places there is still people who is racist but it doesn't mean everywhere is also people who is racist isn't it?And about the quota for the university slot, think carefully.Do we blame the government or do we blame the students?
To others that might said I am naive and is still studying and that I will know the reality when I start to work.Well sad to say,I worked for for at least 3-4 places and there is no racism at all, yet. Please do not generalize and if you don't like what you are reading, then just get off the blog will you?
And to some politicians, please stop playing racism stuffs. You were payed to work for us and not to talk cock here and there.I do not about others but I won't be falling for this.
Until then, enjoy your holiday and do drive safely when your holiday ends.

Ghost Festival
So it had came, the Ghost Festival of course.Every year,Chinese celebrate this event with prayers, foods and not to forget the 'koh tai' as well.It is considered as Ghost Festival as this is the time the Gate of Hell is open and spirits/ghosts are allowed to roam the earth for this period of time. For Chinese,we will then burn joss sticks and also papier-mache form of material items such as clothes, shoes, houses, watches and more to mention.
Ghost Festival is not QingMing as QingMing is only for the ancestors while Ghost Festival is for all the spirits. It is something like free for all lol.I still remember last semester when I was required to do an assignment regarding this topic.Did quite a research but unfortunately my computer suffers BSOD and was required to be formatted. The files in it was also deleted as well.
Anyway,I felt that it's more livelier in Penang where most of the places are build with stages for the girls to sing. The karaoke show is actually for the spirits and there will be empty chairs on the first row.It is actually for the spirits to sit and enjoy the performance. Not only spirits enjoy the performance but also the old uncles who waited and some to the extend of going to the back stage hoping to catch a glimpse of the performers changing clothes.
Still,we need to be careful during this time of month. It is not something to joke with.I'm going to list the Dont's during this Ghost Festival.
Dont's:
1)Do not go out late at night.
2)Do not step on or step over the remains of the joss sticks and stuffs that are burnt for the spirits.
3)Do not simply flash lights to any dark buildings or trees.
4)Do not seat on the seats assigned for the spirits.
5)Do not go near the sea at night.
6)Do not whistle during the night.
I could only think of these few now.Experiences wise?I experienced number 2 and 3 personally. Not that I was the one but it happened in front of my eyes.
Number 2:
I was still Standard 6 that time and there is this friend of mine who is at Standard 2.So while we are waiting for our school bus to come,he kicked an apple that was supposed to be for the spirits.Nothing happened until we reached the school when suddenly he fell down to the floor on his own. There is nothing bumpy that he might tripped on.
Number 3:
We were having a 3 days 2 night camp at school and there is this favorite game that I liked which is the 'Alien Hunt'.The condition to play this game is to play at midnight with the whole school lights shut down.So there is one junior group that did not heed our advices and started to torch the lights on the 2nd floor.Lo and behold, the whole group saw something and was forced to retired from the game.I still remember that the leader scold the junior like mad for playing a fool and now the whole group had the chances to saw it.
So guys and girls,I wish you luck this month and do not do unnecessary things that you do not need to do at night!!
To those who do not believe it,it's better to be safe than sorry isn't it?

Monday @ UTAR
Woke up 7.00am today in the morning and was thinking whether do I want to go for lecture class or not. Finally decided to go and pulled Angeline from her sleep as well. Wan Jie gave us a surprise when she give us those cute small soft toys.
I chosen the cow but then Jia Ying wanted it and we fight for a while before I decided to let it go.Instead I choose the blue elephant.Siong Chi chooses the pig,Li Mei chooses the rabbit,Angeline chooses the mouse and Hsu Wai was left with the hamster.I brought the Research Method text book to school because I thought I need to attend the 2 lectures class.Mana tau the lecturer finished teaching in 1 class. We had our lunch at Block B and we proceed to Block A to check on the bar list. Then we went to Block E's computer lab.Soon,I met Eric and 1 of my friend. He did not remember me until he saw Angeline lol.
Later at 1.45pm,Li Mei decided to skipped class so Hsu Wai and Siong Chi followed as well.I was preparing myself to meet my adviser at 2.30pm.Reach there quite early and saw at least 4-5 girls is in the room.So I waited until 2.30pm and I approach my adviser as I had made an appointment. My adviser asked me to wait for a while as he tries to settle his matter first. Then there is 1 bitch in the room asked my adviser to tell me to meet him another time.Waffak!!?So fucking selfish and I had made an appointment.Your consultation time was supposed to end at 2pm and you have the balls to ask my adviser to see me another time?Who do you think you are?And wait...I wonder how do you grow 2 balls below your crotch? Was quite pissed with the attitude of that girl.Niahma!!!Luckily my adviser told her that I had made quite alot of appointment with him and was not successful.Knn..if my adviser ask me to meet him another time,I sure diu the girl kau kau...WTF...So inconsiderate of you.Do you think you are the only one that needs consultation.Your time is over so just fuck off!!
After having the consultation,I went to have a haircut. Before that,I was wondering whether should I dye my hair or not. Then the hairstylist there told me it looks nicer if my hair is in color as my hair color is quite dark black. So yeah,a haircut+dye+wash+massage cost me RM 60.I consider it quite cheap lol.Don't know what my mother will said when I get back to Penang @.@

Skipping Classes...
Heard 1 of my housemate talking about getting bared from final exams due to lack of attendance in lecture and tutorial class. You see,we need to maintain 80% attendance or else we are bared. And when we are bared,we are required to write a letter of appeal and then go for an interview.Such a hectic thing to do don't you agree?I was kind of worried because this semester I skipped quite a lot of class. And I was already thinking of what reasons to say when I am required to write a letter.Blaming on the weather is kind of new reason isn't it lol.
And so I even count how much a lecture or tutorial class will cost us.It cost us around RM 23 per class and man...I think I skipped around 10 class or so which makes the university profits RM 230 lol...
Got to polish my presentation on tomorrow.Wish me luck.Until then...

When too much of pyschology...
When a person studies too much of psychology, suddenly the person will noticed a lot of things that it happening around them.It will in turn became scary because that person is able to reason out what and why others did this and that and also some will managed to differentiate truth and lies.Sometimes, this happen to me lol and believe me,it's a scary shyt.People wears a mask called persona to school everyday so that they can mingle around in society but then people like me sometimes see through their persona.Gosh.And then all those theories that I've learned came like nobody's business. And we will then started to explain about their behaviors, talking about their past childhood, their provinces of mind and those psychology stuffs. Not only me that should see it sometimes but also my friends who is also studying in this field.See?I'm not praising myself lol.
Anyway, now I liked Counseling more than Psychology lol.It would be a dream if I could go all the way till PhD but when will that happen?I wonder.

Why sad songs?
I faced this questions a lot.Friends kept asking me,"Why sad songs? You like to be emo is it?".Well, what I usually answer them would be "Because it's more meaningful".Yes,you read it correct.I felt that sad songs had more meaningful lyrics and meanings.I usually listen to sad songs to relieve myself from everything around me.
Some songs that I liked is Cha Jian Er Guo by Lee Sheng Jie,Yue Ding by Guang Liang and so on.And yes,I like oldies and this includes those English sad songs as well.I'm not really a person who chases new songs. It just happen that if I heard a song that is nice,I will ask my friends or relatives regarding the song name and go back home to download it.
I believe throughout our daily life,we may had some sad feelings which is not expressed out.In psychological term,I think it is called unconscious. So the only way I let it out is to by stimulate it with sad songs.Every time after I break down listening to sad songs, I take a bath and will feel more better and fresh.Or maybe that's only me lol.
Anyway, like what I said during last post, lots of stuffs is really filling up my brain. It's so hard for me to be rational. And I was late for my adviser meeting.Guess what?He was no where to be found when I reach his room at 5.30pm.So heck,I waited for 10 minutes before I go back. And it started to rain too.

Lacking of sleep...
Thanks to the effect of Nescafe on Tuesday and then the next day going out until late midnight,I wasn't able to function properly in today's class.Missed the first lecture class but attended the second one.
"A person who loses one night’s sleep will generally be irritable and clumsy during the next day and will either become tired easily or speed up because of adrenalin. After missing two night’s sleep, a person will have problems concentrating and will begin to make mistakes on normal tasks. Three missed nights and a person will start to hallucinate and lose grasp of reality."
Taken from one of the website.Great.I'm now in the second day.And I'm having a presentation tomorrow. Will I start to hallucinate?Gosh.Just now was one of my lecturer's birthday.Happy Birthday Ms Chee =).Shouldn't mention the age lol.And when everyone was laughing because of some jokes, surprisingly I did not laugh. What happened?I can tell you I have no slight idea.Did Kampar environment changed me?I went to school today without much talking.I think I talk less than 10 sentences. That is so not me.I'm also do not know when will I start to behave like usual.Or will I not behave like usual anymore?
I also need to meet my UTAR adviser later at 5pm.Gosh.What do I wanted to consult?Should I consult him about the things I had in mind?I've been thinking a lot of stuffs lately.Thinking of stuffs that might not happen to myself.Did I think too much or is it my instinct that is guiding me to think?I was also quite unhappy with some particular stuffs.
Should stop now before I go with all the grandmother stories. Will update you all at night.

Turning into Vampire?O-wai....
Realized that I keep staying awake at night for these 2 months. Not that I took a nap at the afternoon or evening.I could stay awake until 6am and then wakes up at 10 to attend my lecture or tutorial class at 11.It's kind of weird and I don't know why.Is it due to the stress on the subjects that I am taking this semester? The thoughts of maintaining or pushing up my CGPA?I don't remember that I was like that for the previous semester. And not to mention I stay awake doing nothing except looking at the monitor of my laptop. If I was awake because of studying then it's fine but...
And the only times that I was awake at night was due to working at night shifts but that was like half year ago.
Well, humans are weird and not all behaviors could be explained logically. This applies to my dream last night.Angeline told me that I was having a nightmare and it makes it hard for her and my another room mate to have a peaceful sleep.End up she had to skip the class due to lack of sleep. You know when a patient in hospital pass away, the doctors will try to revive the patient's heartbeat by using the 'equipment' that is put on the chest which will make the chest kinda jump up?It happens to my body yesterday lol.
Funny thing is that I don't remember anything about dreaming at all.

Are you a Malaysian?
You know you are a malaysian when:
- You complain about the quality of the pirated DVD you just purchased. "What, RM10 for DVD5?! Aiyah, boss ... sound no good, cheaperlah ..."
- You're willing to consume sambal petai and durian and gladly suffer the bloating and wind-breaking incidents.
- You're exceedingly polite to the Mat Sallehs but you slag your own kind. "Hello, sir. Why don't you sit here, it's got the best view of the city skyline." But, "Aunty-ah, your table is over there next to the kitchen."
- You order Maggi goreng and fried chicken, complain about how oily the food is, and then proceed to finish it anyway.
- You love to talk about food. You're already thinking about what to have for dinner while eating lunch. "I'm stuffed. What shall we have for dinner?"
- You dive into a communal-style meal the moment the dish lands on the table only to hesitate at the last morsel of food on the serving dish. There are two possible explanations for this: the first is the pai seh (embarrassed) factor, while the other is the myth that the person who eats the last piece will be a spinster.
- You hit the accelerator the moment the first drop of rain hits your windshield. "Alamak, it's going to rain. Sure traffic jam one. I'd better drive faster."
- You seize the opportunity to make a U-turn anywhere ... especially where there is a sign telling you not to. Well, so long as the cops aren't in sight.
- You feel a burning desire to send text messages and even have the gall to give your friend a blow-by-blow account of the movie to your friend on the handphone during the screening of the movie. "Okay, now that girl Lizzie is impersonating an Italian singer; she so doesn't look Italian ..."
- You forsake your loved ones for the all-important four letter-word: S-A-L-E. "Sorry, mum, I can't take you to Aunt Mary's because I have to go to MidValley before the crowd." You?re also more than happy to be part of the insane traffic jam that forms around malls during weekends and sale periods.
- Reality shows Akademi Fantasia and Malaysian Idol dictate your social life. "What, no TV at the mamak? Count me out. I'm staying home. Rinie needs my support."
- You pepper every sentence with lah. "No-lah, I can't see you today-lah. I have to study-lah. You know-lah, the prison warden aka mak is watching me like a hawk"
- You fail to function normally without your daily dose of teh tarik and nasi lemak.
- You have owned at least one Proton in your lifetime. Cheap, cheap. That is until you start to make enough dough to buy that Honda you've been salivating over.
- You slow down at an accident site to take down the car number plate, but won't step out of your car to help the victim could be a robber!
- You'd rather park your car along the main road outside the mall, where there's a yellow line, rather than pay RM1 to park inside where there are adequate bays.
- You plead, bat your eyelids and relate a sob story to the officer at the town council office to let you off the hook (or reduce the amount considerably) for the fine you incurred when you parked your car on the double line.
- You make an appointment for 10am and conveniently show up a half hour late ? Malaysian time, what ...
- You pop open the wet tissue packet at the Chinese restaurant by squeezing the trapped air to the top of the packet before proceeding to smash your fist into it. The louder the pop the better.
- You greet your friend / neighbor / acquaintance on the street with "How are things?" or "Have you eaten?" or better yet, by stating the obvious: "Went to market ah?"
- Ramlee burger is the "piece de resistance" of your growing-up-years cuisine.
- You catch all major televised events at the mamak.
- You have roughly six meals a day (breakfast, mid-morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and supper). Then there's the snacking ? keropok ikan, pisang goreng, muruku, jam tarts and the like.
- You get the whole family dressed to the nines, jump into the car and head for the minister's open house and ask for styrofoam boxes and plastic bags to tar pau (take away) food.
- Your accent and language style vary according to the race of the person you are conversing with.
- You've got a friendly disposition. Smiles are abundant and your "Apa khabar?" is warm and sincere.
- You exclaim loudly how expensive everything is, even though the items may in fact be going for a steal. "Wah! So expensive, ah? Hak sei ngor (Scare me to death)!"
- You dig deep into your pockets to contribute to the latest appeal for donations in the newspapers.
- You "dis" our country all the time, but as soon as something good happens (like winning the Thomas Cup), you morph into a proud Malaysian.
- You never travel abroad without a bottle of chilli sauce, or sachets which you can sneak into restaurants.
Credits go to the person who think of this...(not me)

I'm ready.Ready for the EPL.Arsenal vs Everton.Arsenal recruited one player which is Vermaelen and sold Toure and Adebayor to MC.I'm also ready to wait for more signings which I hope Arsene will do.Will also like to see how far MC can go this year since they spend alot on players and also MU that is without Cristiano Ronaldo. An exciting season ahead.

Husband for Sale @ Husband Store
A store that sells husbands has just opened in New York City , where a woman may go to choose a husband. Among the instructions at the entrance is a description of how the store operates.
You may visit the store ONLY ONCE!
There are six floors and the attributes of the men increase as the shopper ascends the flights. There is, however, a catch .... You may choose any man from a particular floor, or you may choose to go up a floor, but you cannot go back down except to exit the building!
So, a woman goes to the Husband Store to find a husband. On the first floor the sign on the door reads:
Floor 1 - These men have jobs and love the Lord.
The second floor sign reads:
Floor 2 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, and love kids.
The third floor sign reads:
Floor 3 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, love kids and are extremely good looking.
'Wow,' she thinks, but feels compelled to keep going. She goes to the fourth floor and sign reads:
Floor 4 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, love kids, are drop- dead good looking and help with the housework.
'Oh, mercy me!' she exclaims, 'I can hardly stand it!' Still, she goes to the fifth floor and sign reads:
Floor 5 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, love kids, are drop- dead gorgeous, help with the housework, and have a strong romantic streak.
She is so tempted to stay, but she goes to the sixth floor and the sign reads:
Floor 6 - You are visitor 4,363,012 to this floor. There are no men on this floor. This floor exists solely as proof that women are impossible to please. Thank you for shopping at the Husband Store. Watch your step as you exit the building, and have a nice day!

Industrial Training?
Industrial Training is the time where we are actually exposed to the working life outside.I may be still in Year 1 but I've already think about Year 3 where we need to go for Industrial Training for 3 months.Quite a friends of mine said they wanted to go back to their hometown. Some of the reasons is that it is near their place and living cost is cheaper too.
I even think as far as where do I want to apply for my Industrial Training. Was thinking of going for Genting but what does my course got to do with Hospitality. Most of my choices are either at Theme parks,Hotels or Hospitals taking care of the children.
I'm taking Bachelor of Degree(HONS) Psychology and was wondering whether will any of my choices pick me for my applications.I also prefer to work in an office.Maybe I'm too picky lol.I don't actually see any potential for myself to be in psychology field in future but I actually quite fond of Counseling.Just thinking of these makes my head go round and round.
Anyway,it's all about getting experiences from the working environment.Shouldn't worry too much of my future, yet.

H1N1 in UTAR?Good or Bad?
What is H1N1?H1N1 is quite a topic these days.H1N1 is originally called as 'Swine Flu' before it changed to H1N1.It's a mutation from four known strains of the influenza A virus.Symptoms of H1N1 includes fever, sore throat, body aches, coughs, headache, chills and fatigue. From the statistic of WHO,the ratio of death is 140:1
So it finally arrived in Malaysia on 13th of May.And slowly,it spreads. One by one, university was closed down for a week as a precaution.UUM,UTM,UiTM to be mentioned a few more was closed down for a week.So the question is,will Kampar been infected or not?
There is news that some students was infected with H1N1 but UTAR admin had assured us that they were quarantined. So the question,is it good or bad to have a week break?
Personally,I felt that there is pros and cons if there is a week break.Pros? No class means no presentation.Tension and stress might go down. But the cons would be this semester will be extended for 1 more week.Extra 1 week means more pressure. And not to mentioned we might have the chance to be infected.Either way,I felt that it would be better if we are not allowed to have a break.Imagine that if you got infected but you do not know. Then you went back to your family. There is chance that you will infect your family, isn't it?Best would be stay where you are now.
The way of H1N1 to be transmit to other people is by through coughs and sneezes or by touching contaminated surfaces and then touching the nose or mouth. So this means no kiss on the lips or french kiss as well lol.
Anyone who had some symptoms that I mentioned and is scared,it would be best to go to the General Hospital to have a check. No harm done. Please wear a mask too for safety measure regardless whether do we had the symptoms.
Last but not least,I'll pray for the safety to everyone in the world who got infected.

So near yet so far...
Just received the letter that I was expecting few weeks ago.It was during the Mind Festival 2009 in UTAR that I went and had a test on my IQ.Cost me RM 40 for 38 questions to be done in a specific time frame. You can get more info from http://www.malaysianmensa.org/. Was quite disappointed about it as I only need 2 more correct answer to be accepted into the society.
Test score of 140.Need 148 to pass >.< Examination can only be taken once a year.Guess nothing could change except that I can let it all out at here.Presentation went well at Tuesday.Only 4 people who is in the tutorial including our tutor. There was few hiccups but I'm glad that everything went well according to the plan.Final exam schedule is also out.Guess that this semester I should be aiming for B- then. It's quite hard when all the subjects that you are taking is quite the same.Still wondering when can I change my lazy and carefree attitude.Would love to change but there is no motivation at all.Maybe I should blame it on the weather and the boring life in Kampar.
And I was also wondering why do god makes us human so complicated? So that we won't be bored in this world?Do you have something in mind, dear god?

Presentations..
After all the rush on assignments, another part that I hate is the presentation part. No doubt that I'm not good in talking to the crowd and I tend to get nervous easily. There is 5 presentation to go.Five!!!How the hell I'm going to pass all that? Not to mention some are really tough to pass...Couldn't we just take our exams pretty please?I would prefer that lol...
Woke up early this morning to support Cunning Wo-Pig playing Netball at Sports Complex.End up her team got the champion.Congratulations.At least we stand there under the hot sun for something lol.
After the competition end,I went to TESCO together with friends.Just noticed that the stall that I was looking for merged with the first stall.Had my brunch there. And when it all boils down to shopping, girls are number one.Plus with discount?Fuiyo...
And congratulations to Cunning Dewgong. She finally dare to sit on a motorcycle.Guess that I need to pull myself through the presentations as well then =(
